Beginner Snow Hike - Friday Hookie Day!!

We will meet up on the west side of Denver on Friday and carpool or follow each other to our hiking spot.  This is a beginner event so we will send a prep email on Wednesday evening with more details and final meet up spot but plan to be dressed in layers for hiking in cold temps (25-40 degrees), waterproof hiking boots or trail shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses and a small backpack for your water, a small lunch and a snack.

If you don't have snowshoes, you can rent them plus hiking poles (definitely needed!) from REI for $20-$30 for 24 hours. If that's not an option, please email or message me as I have extra pairs as well.  I will show you how to put them on and how to start walking in them - it's easy and almost everyone can do it!  I recommend being able to comfortably walk 2.5-3 miles per hour (fitness level at home) to enjoy this activity.  Contact me if you have concerns or questions.
