Paperback - Destination Unknown
Who are you NOW and what do you want?
Especially now that you find yourself on an unexpected spot on your life path, this question can be daunting. It’s always a tough question to answer but when you are thrown a curveball and your life isn’t what or where you thought it would be by now, it becomes even more important to take the time and find the answer.
Maybe, and unexpectedly, you....
- Have established your career but feel stuck or unfulfilled
- are in a marriage or long term relationship that fell apart or ended and you didn’t think you’d be alone at this stage
- Are a single parent and your kids have grown to adulthood and it’s time you play a bit
- Have always wanted to try ____ but never had the time
- Have been less active in recent years and are tired of feeling your age.
We grew up during a unique time in our culture and it shaped our beliefs about what women are capable of. We were the last generation to have a true outdoor-dig-in-the-mud-unsupervised childhood and unfortunately, many of us didn’t end up living “the dream” of staying happily married and raising 2.2 well-adjusted kids until retirement from The Company at 65. Yet we found the courage to push boundaries like never before. We have learned much that continue to challenge our ideas or perceived roadblocks and are helping us literally redefine what it means to life a happy and active life as we age.
Whatever your situation or reason, and now more than ever, women in their 40s, 50s and beyond are pausing and really digging to identify what they want and what makes up what they view to be their optimal next life chapter. What does the age of 47 or 50-something look like for Gen Xer women?
I, among many others, can share the joy of reframing your life and inspire you to take the leap, but what does it really take to make the jump successful? What are the key questions you need to ask and answer? What preparatory steps do you need to take to ensure you’re making the most out of your decision to hit the reset button or to venture down an entirely different life path?
We will dive into how our growing up in the 70s, 80s & 90s set the foundation and how we continue to challenge old tenants and evolve to seeing many more opportunities for our healthy future. We will raise the questions you need to answer and provide practical recommendations to prepare for and then take the leap and successfully navigate the new turns in your new life path to create your best adventure yet.
